Job description

  • Lead the design and governance of PeopleSoft security architecture across NSHE institutions
  • Define role-based access models, permission lists, and row-level security aligned with least-privilege principles and higher education data governance standards
  • Oversee creation, maintenance, and auditing of user roles, permission lists, and profiles across HCM, FSCM, and Campus Solutions
  • Ensure appropriate access for faculty, staff, and student data
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA, HIPPA, GLBA, and NSHE policies
  • Lead audit responses, prepare documentation, and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Direct daily PeopleSoft security operations, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and troubleshooting access issues
  • Monitor system security and ensure timely resolution of incidents
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analysis for PeopleSoft environments
  • Lead response and mitigation efforts for security incidents involving sensitive student, financial, and HR data
  • Design and maintain integrations with SSO, Azure AD, and LDAP
  • Support automated provisioning and authentication mechanisms across NSHE institutions
  • Review and approve security-related migrations between development, test, and production environments
  • Ensure adherence to NSHE change management standards
  • Evaluate new PeopleSoft features, tools, and security technologies
  • Recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, automation, and security
  • Report to the Principal Systems Analyst
  • Provide enterprise leadership for security across the NSHE Shared Instance of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience are required, or 10 years or more of direct relevant experience in PeopleSoft Security may be substituted
  • Advanced expertise in PeopleSoft Security experience recommended
  • Experience with upgrades, migrations, SSO, and LDAP
  • Leadership in audit/compliance

  • MFA experience
  • Multi-institutional higher education experience, preferably in the Nevada System of Higher Education

  • Audit support, reporting, and compliance documentation skills
