Job description

McLean, VA • Full-time • In Office (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
About Range
Range is building the AI-powered wealth management platform of the future.
We've raised over $100 million from leading investors and help thousands of high-net-worth individuals and families manage their financial lives. Our team is growing rapidly, and we're looking for someone to help build an exceptional workplace experience as our headquarters expands.
The Role
We're looking for an Office Manager who will become the operational heartbeat of our headquarters.
This isn't a traditional front desk or reception role. You'll be the person who keeps our office running at an exceptionally high level while creating an outstanding experience for employees, candidates, clients, investors, and every guest who walks through our doors.
You'll own everything from the day-to-day operations of the office to employee events, vendor management, and facilities coordination. As we continue to grow, you'll also have opportunities to take on operational projects and provide administrative support to members of our leadership team.
If you love creating order from chaos, enjoy solving problems before anyone else notices them, and take pride in building an incredible workplace, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Welcome candidates, clients, investors, vendors, and guests to our headquarters
  • Create a polished, warm, and professional first impression for everyone visiting Range
  • Manage conference rooms and meeting logistics
  • Coordinate office lunches, catering, snacks, beverages, and kitchen operations
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate shipping, mail, and deliveries
  • Partner with building management and facilities vendors to ensure the office operates smoothly
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics for new employees
  • Plan and execute company lunches, celebrations, recruiting events, and other internal events
  • Help organize travel, scheduling, and administrative tasks for members of the leadership team as needed
  • Own special projects that improve the employee experience and office operations
  • Continuously look for ways to make our office a better place to work

We're Looking For Someone Who
  • Naturally takes ownership without being asked
  • Notices details that others miss
  • Is highly organized and exceptionally reliable
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Makes everyone feel welcome
  • Can comfortably juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Solves problems independently and exercises good judgment
  • Is energized by helping others succeed
  • Takes pride in creating exceptional experiences

Preferred Experience
  • 3-8 years in Office Management, Workplace Operations, Executive Assistant, Administrative Business Partner, or Operations roles
  • Experience working at a high-growth technology company or startup is strongly preferred
  • Experience coordinating vendors, facilities, events, or executive support is a plus

Why Join Range?
You'll join a company that is growing quickly and where your work will be visible every single day.
This role offers far more ownership than a traditional office management position. As Range scales, you'll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities into workplace operations, executive operations, people operations, or other areas based on your interests and strengths.
If you're someone who enjoys building, improving systems, and making a meaningful impact on how a company operates, we'd love to hear from you.
Benefits
  • Health & Wellness: 100% employer-covered medical insurance for employees (75% for dependents), plus dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k): Retirement savings program to support your future
  • Paid Time Off: time to reset and recharge + most federal holidays
  • Parental Leave: Comprehensive leave policy for growing families
  • Meals: Select meals covered throughout the week
  • Fitness: Monthly movement stipend
  • Equity & Career Growth: Early exercise eligibility and a strong focus on professional development
  • Annual Compensation Reviews: Salary and equity refreshes based on performance
  • Boomerang Program: After two years at Range, you can take time away to start your own company. We'll hold your spot for 6 months - and pause your equity vesting, which resumes if you return

Range is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. As a company, we are committed to designing products, building a culture, and supporting a team that reflects the diverse population we serve.
