Job description

Peerless is searching for a highly organized and proactive Operations Specialist to support organizational operations, planning, and program management activities within a dynamic government environment. The ideal candidate will provide operational support across multiple functional areas, coordinate organizational tasking and planning efforts, and assist leadership with strategic initiatives, stakeholder engagements, and program execution activities. The Operations Specialist will independently support major organizational components by managing staffing actions, tracking internal and external taskings, coordinating correspondence, and supporting operational planning activities.

This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure projects, programs, and initiatives remain aligned with mission objectives and organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities Provide operational support to organizational leadership and program teams Manage staffing actions and track internal and external suspense items and correspondence Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures and operational processes Support short-term, mid-term, and long-range organizational planning efforts Assist with development and implementation of policies, plans, procedures, and directives Identify operational issues and recommend corrective actions and process improvements Support briefing preparation, stakeholder coordination, and executive reporting activities Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on assigned programs and initiatives Support risk analysis and tracking of project cost, schedule, and performance metrics Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD or government organizations Experience supporting executive leadership and stakeholder engagements Familiarity with strategic planning and operational coordination activities Experience supporting cost, schedule, and performance tracking for programs or projects Experience preparing briefings, reports, and executive-level documentation Requirements Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI Associate degree or completion of a 2-year technical school program Minimum of 4 years of related experience Knowledge of: Organizational planning, Risk management, Program analysis, Project management processes * Experience developing or maintaining standard operating procedures and process documentation
