Job Summary:
Peerless Technologies Corporation is searching for a highly skilled Midโ€“Senior Level Software Engineer who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced, secure environment. The ideal candidate will be a Linux or Unix-focused technical expert capable of managing multiple efforts while contributing to the design and development of scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข contributing to the design, development, and sustainment of scalable software solutions
โ€ข managing multiple efforts simultaneously
โ€ข supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release cycles
โ€ข performing testing activities (Sprint Testing, FAT, V&V, UAT)
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข US citizen with TS/SCI clearance
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
โ€ข Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience
โ€ข Active Security+ certification
โ€ข Strong experience with Linux or Unix systems (required)
โ€ข Proficiency in: Linux or Unix administration, User and application support, Networking fundamentals, Bash and/or PowerShell scripting
โ€ข Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions
โ€ข Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release cycles
โ€ข Experience performing testing activities (Sprint Testing, FAT, V&V, UAT)
โ€ข Familiarity with ICD 503 security controls and PCIDS configuration standards
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with Windows administration and system patching
โ€ข Experience with SIEM tools, preferably Splunk
โ€ข Experience supporting DoD or classified environments
โ€ข Ability to serve as a key technical contributor and team resource
โ€ข Strong communication and documentation skills
