How do peer coaches typically balance supporting others while managing their own workload?

Peer coaches often juggle their coaching responsibilities alongside their primary job duties, which requires effective time management and prioritization. Many organizations allocate specific hours for peer coaching sessions, but flexibility is key as needs may arise unexpectedly. Successful peer coaches set clear boundaries and communicate regularly with their supervisors to ensure their core responsibilities are not compromised. What is peer coaching?

Peer coaching is a collaborative process where colleagues at similar levels support each other's personal and professional growth. It typically involves structured conversations, feedback, and goal-setting, helping participants develop new skills and gain fresh perspectives. Unlike traditional coaching, peer coaching is reciprocal, meaning both parties take on the roles of coach and coachee. This approach fosters trust, accountability, and continuous improvement within teams or organizations.
