We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and collaborative K-5 Literacy & Math Instructional Coach to join our educational leadership team. Operating under a standard 180-day teacher contract, this position reports directly to the Director of Curriculum and works side-by-side with building leaders and classroom teachers to build instructional capacity and improve student outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of evidence-based instructional practices in both foundational literacy and mathematics. This role requires proven experience implementing the Amplify CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) curriculum and the enVision Mathematics program. Preference will be given to candidates who are LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) trained.
Instructional Coaching & Professional Development
  • Provide targeted coaching to K-5 teachers through observation, modeling, co-teaching, and feedback cycles to improve instructional delivery.
  • Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in partnership with the Director of Curriculum to unpack standards, plan rigorous lessons, and examine student work.
  • Support curriculum fidelity by ensuring the evidence-based practices of Amplify CKLA and enVision Math are deeply embedded in daily classroom instruction.
  • Onboard and mentor teachers new to the district or to the specific math and literacy curricula.

Data-Driven Instruction & Curriculum Alignment
  • Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to analyze district-wide benchmark, diagnostic, and formative assessment data (e.g., mCLASS, enVision assessments).
  • Guide instructional decision-making and the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for both reading and math interventions.
  • Assist in the alignment of elementary literacy practices with the Science of Reading framework across all K-5 grade levels.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Reading, Mathematics, or a related field Valid State Teaching Certification (K-5 or Elementary Education).
  • Minimum of 3 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience in grades K-5.
  • Demonstrated experience as an instructional coach, teacher leader, or department chair preferred.

Curriculum & Training Specifics
  • Prefered: Hands-on experience teaching or coaching with the Amplify CKLA curriculum.
  • Prefered: Hands-on experience teaching or coaching with the enVision Mathematics program.
  • Highly Preferred: LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training or certification.
