Job description

This is a general job posting where all individuals interested in 9-12 English Language Arts Teaching positions can apply. Apply here for current and/or anticipated vacancies. All principals will screen English Language Arts applicants in this job posting, and other job postings as ELA Teacher vacancies develop at their campuses.


PRIMARY PUPOSE:
Provide student with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:




  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate in English Language Arts or eligible for employment through an Alternative Certification Program (ACP).
  • Eligible ACP candidates must also meet ACP requirements and pass TExES examination(s) required for this position.
  • Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned.


Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Knowledge of subjects assigned
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
