Job description

Position:   Teacher  - English/Language Arts                                                                        

Evaluated by:  Principal/Assistant Principal

Salary Range:   Professional Salary Schedule  Salary based on experience and education level per Putnam County Board of Education salary schedule plus a competitive benefits package to include:  PEIA insurance, retirement, life insurance, and free vision and dental insurance. 

Job Description:  The High School English/LA Teacher is assigned to deliver a comprehensive English program in accordance with state law and West Virginia Board of Education and county policies and regulations.  

Qualifications:   Holds or qualifies for a West Virginia Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate endorsed for English, English/language arts, or language arts at the grade levels applicable to this assignment (9-12).

Length of Employment: 200 Days

Responsibilities:   The High School English/Language Arts Teacher shall have the responsibilities and duties as outlined in the Putnam County Schools Job Description Handbook.
