Job description

Anderson Regional Joint Water System (ARJWS) is seeking to fill the role of Payroll and Accounting Specialist.  This role shall perform payroll, benefits, and accounting functions

Key Responsibilities:

·            Processes bi-weekly payroll

·            Audits timekeeping

·            Administers employee benefits and workers’ compensation

·            Prepares required tax and retirement reports

·            Prepares accounts payables and receivables

·            Posts journal entries

·            Prepares monthly member billing

·            Prepares tank deposits

·            Provides general administrative support including onboarding, personnel records, and customer service.


Essential Skills and Experience:

·            Requires an associates degree or equivalent experience in payroll and accounting.

·            Experience with SC PEBA benefits preferred.

·            Ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.

Compensation:

·            Starting hourly rate range: $27.00 to $35.00 depending on experience

·            SC State Retirement program   

·            Medical, vision, and dental insurance; 100% premium paid for the employee

·            Paid vacation, holiday, and sick leave
