Position Summary The Payroll Assistant 3 - Timekeeping Support will provide functional timekeeping assistance for employees using the CATS system.

This entry-level role is part of a shared services environment and is responsible for supporting daytoday timekeeping activities, resolving employee inquiries, and ensuring that timecard data is accurate, complete, and in compliance with company guidelines. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple systems in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment. This position will be located in Irving, TX, with a Hybrid schedule: Mon, Thurs , Fri at home; Tues & Wed working in office.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities Employee Inquiry Resolution Serve as a firstline contact for employees with timekeeping questions related to schedules, timecards, leave, and related issues. Manage and resolve employee inquiries and requests through the ServiceNow Case System, ensuring responses meet established departmental SLAs. Research and troubleshoot timekeeping issues, collaborating with HR, Payroll, or management as needed to resolve cases.

Clearly communicate resolutions and next steps to employees in a professional and customerfocused manner. Timekeeping Data Entry & Maintenance Perform accurate data entry of timekeeping information, including but not limited to: Schedule changes (work hours, shifts, and other schedule adjustments). Timecard changes and corrections, ensuring alignment with company timekeeping guidelines and approvals.

Leave of Absence (LOA) quota uploads, following established procedures and verifying proper allocation of leave balances. Military leave timecard adjustments, ensuring entries are compliant with company procedures and applicable rules. Review timekeeping entries for completeness and accuracy and follow up on missing or inconsistent data.

Reporting & Audit Support Process and review weekly audit reports to identify discrepancies, missing time, or time entries that may not comply with company standards. Work with employees and supervisors to correct errors identified through audits within established timelines. Assist in documenting recurring issues and trends to support continuous improvement of timekeeping processes.

Compliance & Process Adherence Ensure all timecard changes and adjustments are in compliance with company guidelines, including required approvals and documentation. Adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and standardized procedures related to timekeeping and payroll inputs. Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information at all times.

Ad Hoc & Team Support Provide ad hoc support to the Payroll and Timekeeping team, such as special projects, process documentation, and testing system changes or enhancements. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current on updates to timekeeping rules, systems, and processes. Support crosstraining efforts and assist coworkers during highvolume periods or staffing gaps.

Basic Qualifications: Entry level; approximately 1 year of experience in customer service, timekeeping, payroll support, or a related administrative role and High School Diploma Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal). High level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering and reviewing data. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs).

Comfort working with confidential employee information and following data protection requirements. Problemsolving mindset with willingness to learn complex timekeeping rules and processes. Preferred Qualifications: SAP experience preferred (especially SAP timekeeping or payroll modules).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word; PowerPoint a plus). Experience working in a shared services or centralized support environment preferred. Primary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
