Job Summary

10-8 Realty is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Remote Payroll Assistant to support the company’s payroll and administrative operations. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate employee payroll records, reviewing time and attendance information, processing payroll-related documentation, and ensuring payroll information is handled accurately and confidentially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll.
  • Review employee timesheets, attendance records, and payroll information for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll and compensation records.
  • Assist with calculating regular hours, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Enter and update payroll information in payroll and accounting systems.
  • Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Assist with employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, time records, and payroll documentation.
  • Maintain organized and confidential payroll files and records.
  • Assist with onboarding and payroll setup for new employees.
  • Coordinate with management and accounting personnel to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Help ensure payroll-related documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with tax forms, payroll reports, and other payroll-related administrative tasks.
  • Protect confidential employee and company financial information.
  • Perform general administrative and data-entry duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in accounting, finance, or business administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, data entry, or administrative support preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to learn and work with payroll, accounting, and HR software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and numerical skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Skills

  • Payroll processing experience.
  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and employment documentation.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and financial records.
  • Experience supporting a remote or distributed team.
  • Knowledge of real estate payroll, commissions, or property-management accounting is a plus.
