Job Description Senior Professional, Global Payroll Cotality is seeking a highly motivated Senior Professional, Global Payroll to support the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of payroll operations across multiple countries. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, payroll vendor relations, payroll reporting, compliance administration, and employee support. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgement, a customer‐first mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Senior Professional, Global Payroll exercises independent judgment, maintains strict confidentiality, and collaborates closely with HR, Finance, Benefits, and third‐party payroll providers to ensure a seamless payroll experience for employees globally. Hybrid role with two days in the Irvine Office required on Mondays and Wednesdays. Key Responsibilities Global Payroll Administration: Process and validate payroll for employees globally, including salaried, hourly, temporary, and expatriate populations where applicable. Review and import time and attendance data into payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Administer employee payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, tax elections, payment election updates, and leave‐related transactions. Review and validate payroll calculations for earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other payroll‐related transactions. Ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on schedule in accordance with established payroll calendars. Payroll Vendor Management & Quality Assurance Review and approve payrolls processed through third‐party payroll providers, including Workday, Dayforce, ADP and other global payroll partners. Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll release. Partner with vendors to investigate and resolve payroll‐related issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication. Monitor payroll service levels and support continuous improvements in payroll operations. Compliance & Regulatory Administration Support compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and international payroll regulations. Ensure accurate administration of tax withholding, statutory deductions, benefits, and payroll reporting requirements. Assist with year‐end payroll activities, including tax reporting, reconciliations, employee tax forms, and regulatory filings. Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Employee Support & Client Experience Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll, PTO, timekeeping, taxes, deductions, and related matters in a timely and professional manner. Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance requirements. Partner with HR and People teams to ensure employees receive accurate information and support regarding payroll‐related matters. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence Continuously evaluate payroll processes, workflows, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Document and maintain payroll procedures and standard operating processes. Participate in payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process enhancement initiatives. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi‐state and/or global payroll administration. Experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Dayforce, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, taxation, wage and hour requirements, and payroll best practices. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting. Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical payroll deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent payroll certification. Experience supporting payroll operations across multiple countries. Knowledge of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and SOX controls.
