Summary: HumanKind is seeking a detail-oriented and relationship-driven professional to join our Treatment Foster Care team as a Recruitment & File Specialist. This role combines foster parent recruitment, community outreach, home study assessments, and compliance management to help ensure children are connected with safe, supportive, and well-prepared foster families.

Success In This Role Looks Like:

  • Building strong relationships with prospective foster parents and guiding them through the approval process with professionalism and care
  • Conducting thorough home studies, interviews, and assessments that meet Virginia licensing standards
  • Maintaining organized,accurate, and audit-ready foster parent files
  • Leading community outreach and recruitment efforts that increase awareness of Treatment Foster Care services in Lynchburg and Bedford
  • Tracking recruitment outcomes andidentifyingopportunities to strengthen engagement strategies
  • Supporting foster families through ongoing communication, training coordination, and responsive follow-up
  • Collaborating effectively with team members, licensing bodies, and community stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Staying current on foster care regulations, best practices, and cultural competency to support continuous program improvement
