Job description

The Parts Room Clerk accurately maintains the supply of specified mechanical parts and supplies through requisitioning, receiving, storing, and dispersing. As Parts Room Clerk, You Will:

  • Compile data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and write, type, or enter information into computer to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, or other records.

  • Prepare requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.

  • Compile stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.

  • Compare stock numbers, authorized substitutes, and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.

  • Review files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.

  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation.

  • Housekeeping and safety.

  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.

  • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards in the conversion department.

  • Responsible to Receive, inspects, and stores incoming parts, verifying the contents against purchase orders and packing slips.

  • The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Responsible for cycle count of inventory within the parts room


To be a Parts Room Clerk, You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Mechanical knowledge preferred

  • Expert knowledge in SAP

  • Experience with keeping accurate Inventory records

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • Prior experience in a parts room, inventory control, or manufacturing setting preferred (2 years minimum)

Shift: Days 6:30am-3pm

Pay: $30.00+/hr, depending on experience
