Job description

About Nucs AI
Nucs AI is revolutionizing cancer care through cutting-edge AI and medical imaging technology. Founded in 2024 by a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, AI researchers, and healthcare innovators, we're tackling one of medicine's most pressing challenges: the growing demand for accurate, timely cancer diagnostics in the face of rising scan volumes and limited radiologist capacity.
We sit at the intersection of diagnostics and treatment planning-building AI-powered tools at the convergence of medical imaging, radioligand therapy, and artificial intelligence. Starting with prostate cancer and expanding across oncology, we partner with world-leading medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies across the US, Europe, and Australia to bring precision oncology into everyday clinical practice.
Our mission is to enhance diagnostic precision and expand access to expert-level cancer care, improving patient outcomes worldwide. We're venture-backed, early-stage, and building a team that blends deep clinical expertise with engineering intensity-moving with the rigor the medical field demands and the speed the problem deserves.
The Opportunity
This role is not about managing partnerships from a distance-it's about being the living, breathing embodiment of Nucs AI in every room you walk into. As Partnership Director, you'll sit right next to the CEO, building the relationships, reputation, and commercial partnerships that define how the world experiences this company. You'll own the full lifecycle of our strategic partnerships with hospitals, pharma companies, imaging networks, and research institutions-and you'll project manage every external engagement to ensure we deliver on our promises.
The right person for this role is an elite networker and communicator who carries themselves with polish, gravitas, and genuine warmth. You don't just open doors-you walk through them and build something lasting on the other side. You sell the big vision without making noise. You make everyone in the room want to work with Nucs AI because of how you show up, not because of a hard pitch. People trust you because you're authentic, prepared, and relentlessly focused on creating mutual value.
This is a builder's role at a company that's defining a new category in precision oncology. You'll guide commercial strategy, shape how Nucs AI is perceived in the market, and drive the partnerships that accelerate our mission. Ego has no place here-this is about the company, the partners, and the patients. You'll come to the table with a specific portfolio of relationships, a clear vision for how to deploy them, and a concrete plan for what you'll do in your first 90 days.
What You'll Do
Partnership Development & Relationship Ownership
  • Own and grow Nucs AI's portfolio of strategic partnerships with hospitals, academic medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, and imaging networks
  • Serve as the face of Nucs AI in partner relationships-embodying the company's mission, values, and clinical credibility in every interaction
  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that drive clinical data access, product adoption, co-development opportunities, and revenue
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, data access arrangements, and collaboration frameworks in coordination with legal and medical teams
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders at partner organizations; be the person they call first
External Project Management & Delivery
  • Take ownership of externally-facing projects and customer engagements-ensuring deliverables, timelines, and expectations are met or exceeded
  • Serve as the primary project lead for partner-facing initiatives, coordinating internal teams (medical, product, engineering) to deliver against commitments
  • Manage external stakeholder communication, status reporting, and escalation for all active partnership projects
  • Track partnership health metrics, project milestones, and deliverables; proactively identify and resolve risks before they become issues
  • Build repeatable project management frameworks for partner onboarding, engagement execution, and relationship expansion
Commercial Strategy & Sales Support
  • Guide Nucs AI's commercial partnership strategy in close collaboration with the CEO-identifying where and how partnerships create the most value
  • Support the sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying new partnership and commercial opportunities through your network
  • Contribute to deal structuring, proposal development, and contract negotiations for new engagements
  • Represent Nucs AI at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner events with the presence and credibility that opens high-level conversations
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director on account strategy where partnerships and commercial relationships intersect
Reputation Building & Market Presence
  • Actively build Nucs AI's reputation in the precision oncology, medical imaging, and healthcare AI ecosystems through strategic relationship-building and thought leadership
  • Cultivate a network of champions, advocates, and collaborators who amplify Nucs AI's credibility and reach
  • Provide market intelligence and partner feedback to inform product roadmap, clinical strategy, and competitive positioning
  • Support the CEO and leadership team in board updates, investor communications, and strategic discussions related to partnerships and market positioning
Partnership Operations & Reporting
  • Build and maintain the partnership operations infrastructure: CRM tracking, reporting, and process documentation
  • Develop standardized partnership playbooks, onboarding materials, and engagement frameworks
  • Report regularly on partnership pipeline, active engagements, project status, and impact metrics to the leadership team

What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or senior account management in the medical imaging, theranostics, medical AI, nuclear medicine, or oncology space
  • An exceptional networker with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-trust relationships with C-suite executives, clinical leaders, and institutional decision-makers
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder external projects from inception through delivery-on time, on scope, and to a high standard
  • Elite communication and presentation skills; you represent a company with polish, authenticity, and authority in any room
  • Strong commercial acumen; experience guiding partnership and go-to-market strategy at an early-stage or growth-stage company
  • A builder's mindset-comfortable creating processes, playbooks, and systems from scratch in a fast-moving environment
  • Deeply collaborative with zero ego; your success is measured by what the company achieves through the relationships you build, not by personal attribution
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, life sciences, or related field

Bonus Points
  • Existing, activatable relationships in medical imaging, nuclear medicine, oncology, or radioligand therapy ecosystems
  • Experience in precision oncology, AI-driven healthcare products, SaMD, or digital health platforms
  • A portfolio of partnership case studies you can walk through in detail-showing the relationships, the approach, and the outcomes
  • Experience at a MedTech startup or early-to-growth-stage health-tech company where you built the partnership function
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience with CRM tools and partnership analytics; comfortable building operational infrastructure alongside strategic work
