Role Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with an assigned portfolio of customer accounts within the Euclid Medical business of Precision Products Group, Inc. This role serves as the primary point of contact between PPG and its customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery, identifying new business opportunities within existing accounts, and coordinating cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills with a working knowledge of the products and services, program timelines, and strong understand of pricing to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities Lead Management & Follow-Up
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for an assigned book of customer accounts, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Promptly respond to and qualify inbound leads generated through the website, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and referrals.
  • Maintain a disciplined follow-up cadence via phone, email, and video calls to move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Accurately log all lead activity, contact notes, account records, and pipeline status within the CRM system.
  • Act as the escalation point for customer concerns related to quality, delivery, or service, coordinating internally with quality, production, and supply chain teams to drive timely resolution.
Quoting & Proposals
  • Prepare accurate, professional, and timely quotations and proposals tailored to customer needs and specifications.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and operations to ensure quote accuracy on large or complex orders.
  • Track open quotes and follow up proactively to close or gather competitive feedback.
Product Demonstrations & Presentations
  • Conduct virtual and in-person capability presentations and facility/process walkthroughs for prospective and existing customers, clearly communicating PPG's manufacturing capabilities and value.
  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations that align PPG's solutions with customer challenges.
  • Partner with engineering and other technical resources as needed to support complex or application-specific presentations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess satisfaction, review performance, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Financial Discussions & Closing
  • Engage in pricing and value discussions with customers and prospects, articulating total cost of ownership and ROI.
  • Navigate customer budget cycles and procurement processes to advance opportunities to close.
  • Work within established pricing guidelines while escalating exceptions to management as appropriate.
  • Support contract negotiations, including terms, pricing adjustments, and annual price reviews, in partnership with sales and finance leadership.
  • Track and report on account performance metrics, including sales volume, margin, forecast accuracy, and customer scorecards.
Trade Show Management
  • Coordinate logistics for assigned trade shows, including booth setup, materials, and lead capture.
  • Represent PPG professionally at industry events, generating qualified leads and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Conduct post-show lead follow-ups and track event ROI for reporting purposes.
  • Monitor market and competitive trends within served industries to inform account strategy.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership across PPG facilities (Indianapolis, IN & Apple Creek, OH) to align on capacity, capabilities, and program commitments.
  • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, and PPG facilities as needed to support relationship management and program execution.
Customer Onboarding & Customer Service
  • Manage the onboarding process for new customer accounts and new programs, including kickoff meetings, timing plans, delivery/install timelines, and launch readiness.
  • Serve as the customer's primary point of contact throughout onboarding, ensuring a smooth handoff from sales to ongoing account management.
  • Coordinate with Sales & Operations on shipping/logistics teams to confirm new accounts and programs are set up correctly in internal systems - pricing, packaging, labeling requirements, shipping instructions.
  • Act as the escalation point for customer concerns related to quality, delivery, or service, coordinating internally with quality, production, and supply chain teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Monitor open orders, lead times, and delivery performance for assigned accounts, proactively communicating status updates or delays to customers.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to day-to-day customer inquiries regarding orders, pricing, specifications, and account status.
  • Partner with quality on the corrective action process for customer complaints, ensuring timely root cause response and communication back to the customer.
  • Conduct periodic check-ins and satisfaction reviews with onboarded accounts to confirm expectations are being met and to identify service gaps early.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Markeing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of inside sales, business development, or account management experience required.
  • Demonstrated success in a quota-bearing or activity-driven sales environment.
  • Experience managing customer relationships involving engineered or custom products preferred.
  • Ability to utilize CRM platforms (HubSpot or equivalent) to drive sales activity and ongoing management & maintenance of a sales pipeline.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to use sound business judgement in pricing and contract discussions.
  • Self-motivated with a customer-first orientation and a sense of urgency in resolving issues.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical packaging, or specialty manufacturing sales is a plus.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment or technical product sales cycles is preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator able to collaborate and work cross-functionally across the enterprise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook).
  • Experience supporting or managing trade show participation is a plus.
  • High level skills for interpersonal and relationship management with the ability to build trust with customers at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to interpret sales data, margins, and account performance trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to customers and internal leadership.
  • High degree of professional integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Preferred experience working within small-to-mid-sized companies that are PE-owned.
Travel

This position is based at Indianapolis, IN location and will have some travel required. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to attend off-site company meetings, customer/vendor locations, and trade shows.
