Job Description:
Addison Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join a fast-paced transportation organization supporting approximately 1,500 employees. This role serves as a strategic partner to operational leadership, including directors, managers, and bus managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess strong employee relations expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR partner for operations leadership, providing strategic and day-to-day HR support.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Administer and support ADA accommodations, FMLA, leaves of absence (LOA), and related compliance processes.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and HR programs.
- Coach and train managers on performance management, employee development, workplace compliance, and best practices.
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Advise leadership on hiring decisions, employee retention strategies, and terminations.
- โข Support succession planning and talent development initiatives across assigned business units.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure HR processes, documentation, and records remain audit-ready at all times.
- Partner with leadership to align people strategies with organizational goals and business objectives.
- Utilize Workday to manage employee data, reporting, and HR processes.
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong employee relations experience, including investigations and conflict resolution.
- Experience managing ADA accommodations, FMLA, and leave administration.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and performance management practices.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Workday HRIS strongly preferred.
Schedule:
- Monday โ Friday
- 8:00 AM โ 5:00 PM
- Approximately 25% travel required
