Job description

Overview

We are partnering with a leading flooring and building materials organization to identify a Business Development Manager responsible for driving new business growth throughout the Central and North Florida markets. This is a hybrid, field-based sales role supporting the Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa markets, with approximately 35% travel throughout the assigned territory.

This role focuses on developing and expanding relationships within the multifamily housing industry by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic client partnerships, and collaborating with internal sales and operations teams to deliver long-term growth. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and an established network within the multifamily industry.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow strategic relationships with prospective and existing multifamily customers throughout the assigned territory
• Identify new business opportunities and execute business development initiatives that drive long-term revenue growth
• Partner with sales, operations, and leadership teams to support business development strategies and customer success
• Participate in contract negotiations, proposal development, and client presentations
• Track business opportunities, proposal activity, and sales pipeline performance
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with property management groups, ownership groups, and industry partners
• Coordinate special projects, customer events, and networking opportunities that support business growth
• Consistently achieve and exceed established sales goals and performance objectives
• Represent the organization professionally while delivering exceptional customer service and industry expertise


Ideal Background

• Minimum of two years of business development or outside sales experience required
• Experience selling into the multifamily housing industry strongly preferred
• Established network of multifamily owners, operators, property management companies, or related industry contacts preferred
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
• Ability to successfully pass a background check
