Partner Development Manager - Etobicoke ON (3250 Bloor Street West - 99040)

Applying your unique combination of business capabilities in business development, operations, sales, business analysis and partner account management, you will work closely with the Senior Director, Business Development & Partners toidentify and recommend business improvement opportunities,new market initiatives, drive partner acquisition opportunities, enablement and business growth in both new and existing markets. This role will directly interface with multiple functions as well as directly with our existing and prospective partners.

The role offers the opportunity to make notable impact, as well as the ability to shape key decisions about the business' future. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, performing deep analysis and then presenting it in an effective and concise manner on a regular basis.

This is a strategic role enjoying high exposure across the Canadian business, including to the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with strong operational instincts - someone who can influence at all levels and turns ideas into measureable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the development of the strategy that outlines the initiatives and priorities for identifying, acquiring, and supporting partners nationally, to meet the business and partner revenue targets.
  • Develop business cases, including financial models, for new business opportunities. Identifies, analyzes and compares alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies.
  • Conducts corporate strategic research on targeted market segments and companies, including size and growth benchmarks, competitive dynamics, and potential partners.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, ensures partner development initiatives are delivered on time within scope, and with clear accountability.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Director, Business Development and Partners in Canada, as well as the Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Product organizations to gain input and support so that partner programs and strategies are successfully implemented.
  • Has Ownership of strategic vendor relationships including program execution and contract management
  • Perform deep analysis and prepare high quality presentations (content & design) for various internal & external stakeholder audiences to ensure collaboration and the timely dissemination of information.
  • Prepare/Contribute to both internal and customer focused Business Reviews which capture and synthesize current business trends, market trends and relevant competitive information.Provide recommendations on future action planning with the product and Marketplace teams.
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree required (Sales, Finance, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA would be an asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in consultative sales/sales operations or analysis/ partner development and ideally in the technology industry.
  • A sharp strategic mind with a creative approach to business, able to work under tight deadlines in high-stake executive environments.
  • Capacity to autonomously gather information, to identify important issues, to synthesize and articulate findings, and to present complex issues in simple ways.
  • Demonstrates a strong combination of presentation/business analysis/sales / account management/relationship building skills and business/financial acumen.
  • Self-motivated and ability to handle multiple/diverse tasks.
