Client Development Manager / Foodservice Market Intelligence
Newmarket, Ontario (On-Site)

MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our confidential client, a highly respected data and market intelligence organization serving the Canadian foodservice sector, to recruit a Client Development Manager.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded, analytically sharp professional who understands foodservice and enjoys turning market data into strategic conversations with senior leaders.
Our client provides critical market intelligence to some of Canada's largest food manufacturers and supplier organizations, helping them make informed decisions around category growth, customer strategy, market share, and commercial execution.
If you enjoy data, client relationships, and the food industry—and can confidently engage Directors, VPs, and Presidents—this could be an exceptional fit.
Some of what you will do:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic manufacturer accounts across the Canadian foodservice landscape
  • Develop new business opportunities with Tier 1 and Tier 2 food manufacturers
  • Translate complex foodservice market data into meaningful business insights and growth recommendations
  • Build trusted relationships with senior commercial leaders in sales, marketing, category management, and strategy
  • Represent the business at key industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Partner internally to develop new reporting tools, insights packages, and service offerings
  • Conduct in-person client meetings across Ontario and occasionally broader North America
  • Support revenue growth through consultative account management and solution-based selling
You should have the following:
  • Experience in foodservice, CPG, category management, data analytics, sales, or account management
  • Strong comfort working with data, analytics, and business math
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret share, growth, and trend analysis
  • Experience with foodservice intelligence platforms such as Circana, Technomic, Datassential, or similar highly preferred
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to senior stakeholders
  • A consultative, relationship-driven approach with strong commercial instincts
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a client-facing role
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
