ABM's Products, Partnerships & Innovation organization drives enterprise transformation-building and scaling technology solutions that unlock growth, efficiency, and competitive differentiation. The Strategic Business Partner team serves as the critical bridge between business strategy and technology execution.
As Director, Strategic Business Partner - Business & Industry (BNI), you will be the primary technology partner to ABM's BNI industry group - one of the company's largest and most operationally complex segments. This role will report into the Senior Director who leads the Strategic Business Partner team.
This role is focused on driving technology adoption, operational value realization, and measurable ROI across a distributed field organization. You will work closely with BNI senior leadership to ensure technology investments are implemented effectively, adopted consistently, and continuously improved to meet evolving operational needs.
You will serve as the bridge between the business and technology, ensuring that roadmaps, feature enhancements, and implementation strategies directly enable operational performance.
The ultimate objective: position ABM as the technology leader within the Business & Industry space by ensuring our tools drive real, measurable differentiation in the field.
Pay: $143,500 - $200,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Responsibilities
Adoption & Change Leadership
  • Lead technology adoption across BNI's field operations, ensuring consistent usage and value realization.
  • Partner with Operations leaders (VPs, RVPs) to ensure there are clear and actionable roadmaps for implementation.
  • Work with the implementation team to track and report-out on progress against roadmap.
  • Enable nation-wide adoption programs to build data into the way operators manage their book of business.
  • Develop change management strategies tailored to distributed and frontline environments.
  • Conduct regular field engagement to understand barriers, reinforce accountability, and identify improvement opportunities.

Business-Technology Partnership
  • Serve as the primary liaison between BNI leadership and the enterprise Technology organization.
  • Translate operational priorities into clear technology requirements and enhancement needs.
  • Provide structured feedback into product roadmaps based on field insights and performance data.

Implementation & Roadmap Alignment
  • Partner with Technology and Product teams to ensure successful rollout of new capabilities.
  • Help define sequencing, readiness requirements, and usage expectations for new deployments.
  • Ensure that core features and enhancements reflect real operational value drivers.

Performance & ROI Management
  • Define clear success metrics for technology initiatives within BNI.
  • Track adoption, utilization, operational impact, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to quantify ROI and communicate business impact.
  • Provide regular performance reporting to senior leadership.

Operational Enablement
  • Identify where operational teams require additional training, tooling, or process alignment to extract full value from technology investments.
  • Create feedback loops that continuously improve usability and performance.

Market & Innovation Leadership
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive benchmarks to ensure BNI's technology capabilities remain differentiated.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate ABM's positioning as a technology-forward partner to clients.
  • Partner with Innovation teams to pilot and scale new capabilities within BNI.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
  • 8-12 years of experience in technology-enabled business transformation, operations leadership, or product partnership roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving technology adoption in distributed or field-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise systems, implementation lifecycles, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior operational leaders.
  • Proven ability to define and measure ROI for technology initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to engage with field teams and business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in facility services or a related operational services industry, strongly preferred.
  • Background in frontline workforce enablement and change management.
  • Strong understanding of how technology can differentiate client experience and operational excellence.
  • Experience working in matrixed enterprise environments.
