Position Summary:
The Partner Account Executive is responsible for driving growth, expansion, and production performance across a portfolio of high-potential distribution partners. This role will focus on developing partner growth strategies, increasing adoption and production, and strengthening long-term partner relationships.
The Partner Account Executive serves as the primary commercial owner for strategic producing accounts and collaborates closely with Partner Success Managers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure partners achieve production and engagement goals.
This role is accountable for proactive relationship management, revenue growth, and expanding Coterie's footprint within partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned partner accounts.
  • Drive premium growth, partner engagement, and market expansion across assigned relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with agency principals, brokers, producers, and partner leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with partners to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for increased adoption, cross-sell, and expanded product utilization.
  • Collaborate with Partner Success Managers to ensure high-quality partner support and issue resolution.
  • Monitor partner performance metrics including production, submission growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Conduct training, education, and enablement sessions for partner teams.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within Salesforce.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Insurance, and Revenue Operations teams to support partner growth initiatives.
  • Identify at-risk partners and develop action plans to improve engagement and retention.
  • Represent Coterie at industry and partner events as needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and proactive relationship management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance sales, partner management, or agency distribution.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and partner expansion.
  • Experience working with independent agents, brokers, aggregators, or embedded insurance platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot and sales engagement tools.
  • Experience managing strategic relationships and business planning initiatives.

  • Strong sales, relationship management, and strategic planning capabilities.

Our interview process:
Our hiring process generally consists of 3 phases. The goal is to provide an opportunity for us to learn more about our candidates while allowing them to get to know us as well!
  • Phase 1: Qualified candidates will first meet with a member of our People Operations team for a phone interview. This discussion is a high-level conversation to understand more about your background and interests and for us to share more about Coterie and the position.
  • Phase 2: Selected candidates will be invited to meet with our Hiring Manager for a 2nd interview via Teams video. This interview is designed to be more detail oriented and allows you to learn more about the role
  • Phase 3: Top candidates will receive an invite for our final interview series via Teams video. This series will include an experiential exercise project (provided in advance), 1:1 interviews with selected team members. The final series is roughly 1.5-3 hours in total but can be scheduled over a few days for flexibility.

  • Annual salary estimated between 100,000-125,000 + Variable Compensation. Candidates who meet all the minimum requirements and possess additional relevant experience, as outlined in the job description, may be considered for a salary above the midpoint of the above range. Salary is based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; market data/ranges; applicant's skills; prior relevant experience; degrees or certifications, etc.
