What are part time vetting jobs?

Part time vetting jobs involve reviewing and evaluating individuals, documents, or information to ensure they meet specific standards or criteria, but on a reduced or flexible schedule. These roles are often found in sectors like recruitment, security, or rental services, where background checks and verification processes are required. Part time vetting positions are ideal for those seeking flexible work hours while still playing a crucial role in maintaining safety, compliance, or quality assurance. The work may be done remotely or on-site, depending on the employer's needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part Time Vetting Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Vetting Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and familiarity with background check procedures, often supported by experience in HR, compliance, or security. Proficiency with background screening tools, databases, and applicant tracking systems is typically required. Excellent communication, discretion, and time management help you handle sensitive information and meet deadlines effectively. These skills are crucial for ensuring accurate and ethical vetting, which protects organizations from risk and maintains regulatory compliance.

What are some common challenges faced in a part-time vetting role, and how can they be managed effectively?

In a part-time vetting position, one common challenge is managing a fluctuating workload while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Since vetting often involves reviewing sensitive information and conducting background checks, it's important to stay organized and prioritize tasks efficiently, even when working limited hours. Communication with full-time team members and supervisors is key to ensuring consistency and meeting deadlines. Utilizing digital tracking tools and clear documentation practices can also help part-time vetting professionals stay on top of assignments and reduce the risk of errors.

Job description

Description:

Join our team of talented, mission-driven clinicians who are eager to help bring ABA to children and schools that need it the most. With VBA, youโ€™ll help change the future for our students, while gaining invaluable skills and experiences that will fuel your career.

Weโ€™re hiring for schools located in San Juan Capistrano. This is a great opportunity for individuals living in Rancho Mission Viejo, Ladera Ranch, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point, and San Clemente.

Youโ€™ll make an impact by:

  • Working 1:1 with children with special needs to support the development of their communication, self-help, social, and play skills
  • Implementing behavior plans designed by BCBAs, including tailoring techniques and strategies to meet your clientโ€™s individual needs and ensure skill acquisition
  • Tracking and sharing your clientโ€™s progress by collecting behavior data and recording clinical notes
  • Attending ongoing development and training designed to strengthen both our team and the ABA services we provide

Why VBA?

  • Stable Hours & Pay: By working in a school-setting, youโ€™ll have a consistent weekly schedule that you can depend on.

  • Competitive hourly rates: $20.00 - $27.00/hour
  • Paid training and shadowing, with direct support from BCBAs as you earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBTยฎ) certification. Non-billable work, including training, is paid at prevailing minimum wage.
  • Paid drive time and mileage between client sessions
  • Cell phone stipend
  • Incentives for referring new talent to VBA

Youโ€™ll need to:

If youโ€™re passionate about helping children learn and committed to developing your skills, weโ€™ll provide you with all the training and guidance you need to start making an impact in the classroom.

Our commitment to you:

We work hard to identify, train, and retain top talent because great Behavior Interventionists are hard to find! We deploy deep vetting to get to know our BIs. No group interviews with us! Once hired, youโ€™ll receive thorough in-person training from our BCBAs in order to master ABA critical skills.
