Role Overview
Encoura is accepting resumes for this independent contractor opportunity on a rolling basis. Due to the volume of interest, submission of a resume does not guarantee follow-up or notification regarding application status and priority consideration will be given to candidates with experience in higher education and proficiency with Slate or Salesforce CRM systems. The Encoura CRM Associate independent contractor will work with partner institutions on a variety of Slate-related consulting services. This position focuses on delivering high-quality and innovative solutions to Encoura campus partners to help those campuses better utilize their own admissions/enrollment Technolutions Slate CRM to achieve communications and enrollment goals. Client success if the primary outcome.
The CRM Associate independent contractor will spend large periods of time engaging virtually with campus partners. Trouble-shooting and problem-solving are typically a large component in providing value to Encoura clients. The CRM Associate independent contractor must be able to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once while devoting sufficient time for each project to successfully complete deliverables by agreed upon timelines.
This is a project-based independent contractor opportunity focused primarily on delivering Encoura services directly to campus partners. Current Encoura employees are not eligible for consideration.
A Day in the Life
  • Provide specific CRM-related services to assigned campus partners, most typically CRM Consulting (either project or hours-based), Slate system implementations, or Slate-hosted communications development
  • Be a positive representative of Encoura and our brand in the marketplace, conducting all activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Engage virtually with Encoura CRM Solutions campus partners using several web-calling services such as Zoom, etc. with a high level of comfortability leading conversations while demonstrating concepts
  • Manage and work with sensitive and legally protected student data on behalf of Encoura campus partners; maintain knowledge on requirements for handling sensitive student data
  • Provide feedback to the VP, CRM Solutions on ways to accelerate the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
  • Provide feedback to VP, CRM Solutions on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to clients by extending company offerings

About You
  • Significant experience in higher education admissions including 5-7 years of admissions experience and at least 3+ years' experience as a campus-based Slate Captain or CRM administrator for another admissions CRM platform
  • Flexibility in your current full-time or part-time employment to accommodate scheduling remote calls (Zoom) with assigned campus partners and respond quickly (usually within 24 hours but potentially sooner depending on the urgency of the request) to campus requests
  • Strong demonstrated ability to problem-solve process and technical issues to provide recommendations and implement solutions in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality while working with large amounts of sensitive information and student records
  • Capacity to develop strategies to build CRM functionality and resolve campus partner issues
