About the Role
As a Peer Support Specialist, you will use your lived experience to support adults living with severe and persistent mental illness or emotional disturbance. Through shared experience, recovery-oriented tools, andstrengths-based support, you will help individuals build hope, resilience, and wellness in their homes and communities. This roleprovidesmeaningful opportunities to empower clients and model recovery every day.
Responsibilities
Provide peer support services in home, community, and telehealth settings
Promote recovery, resiliency, and wellness through lived-experience sharing
Help clients build coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and community connection
Maintain timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and case management staff
Support clients in identifying goals and working toward long-term recovery
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
Ability to work in a community-based setting
EHR experience is a plus
Peer Support certification issued by the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare
If not yet certified:Clarvidacan provide guidance on certification, screening, and possible training cost support if hired with the agreement to pursue certification
