The Part Time Remote HR Director typically focuses on strategic HR leadership with flexible, remote work arrangements, often working fewer hours. In contrast, an HR Manager handles daily HR operations, may work on-site or remotely, and has a more operational role. Both roles require HR certifications and relevant experience, but their focus and work environment differ significantly.

Can a part time remote HR director work remotely?

A part-time remote HR director can work remotely if the employer allows it, as the role primarily involves overseeing HR functions such as compliance, employee relations, and policy development through digital communication tools. Remote work arrangements depend on company policies, the nature of HR responsibilities, and the need for in-person interactions or meetings. Certifications like SHRM or HRCI can support remote work eligibility, but the key factor is employer approval and the ability to perform duties effectively from a remote location.

How hard is it to find a part time remote HR director job?

Finding a part-time remote HR director position can be competitive due to high demand for experienced HR professionals and the limited number of such roles. Success often depends on relevant experience, certifications like SHRM or HRCI, and strong networking skills, with opportunities typically available through specialized job boards and professional networks.

Is a part time remote HR director a stressful job?

A part-time remote HR director role can involve stress due to responsibilities such as managing employee relations, compliance, and organizational policies, often requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. The level of stress depends on the company's size, industry, and workload, but remote work can also offer flexibility that may reduce some stressors.

Is a part time remote HR director higher than an HR manager?

A part-time remote HR director typically holds a higher-level position than an HR manager, as the director oversees broader HR strategies and policies, often with greater decision-making authority. HR directors usually have more experience and may manage multiple HR managers or teams, whereas HR managers focus on implementing policies and managing daily HR operations.

Job description

BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) - Part-time

$80110/hr Flexible Schedule Hybrid (Remote + In-person)

A rare opportunity to join a growing ABA practice as an early team member, with a real voice in shaping how we care for children and families - and the culture we build together.

The role is flexible from the start: come in part-time and grow into full-time if and when it works for you. You'll work closely with experienced clinical advisors, backed by a leadership team that's built and run ABA organizations before - real mentorship and support, not autonomy without a net.

What you'll do:

  • Carry and manage a client caseload, serving as the clinical standard-bearer for the organization
  • Own documentation quality, utilization reviews, and oversight of treatment plans
  • Supervise RBTs across active cases, ensuring treatment fidelity and consistent skill-building

What's different here:

  • Mentorship: work directly alongside our Clinical Team you'll be supported, not thrown in the deep end
  • Flexibility: start at 1020 hours/week and grow into full-time if and when it works for you
  • Reasonable workload: proper caseload sizing and RBT ratios from day one no heroics required
  • Mission: serve families who've been let down by fragmented, impersonal care

Compensation & Growth:

  • Base compensation ranges from $80-110 per hour, plus quarterly performance bonuses
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus

What you bring:

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing (Required)
  • Virginia BCBA licensure (Required)

    Benefits:

    • Health, dental, and vision from day one
    • 401(k) with matching
    • PTO that you'll actually use
    • Referral bonuses when you bring great people in
    • CEU support staying current matters here
    • Parental leave
    • MondayFriday daytime hours, no weekends
