Job Summary

SafeRide Health is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Travel Coordinator to join our Travel Operations team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end travel logistics for members traveling for medical care, ensuring a smooth, supportive, and dignified experience. You'll be the primary point of contact for members, health plans, and vendors-balancing accuracy, efficiency, and empathy in every interaction.


Key Responsibilities

Coordinate Medical Travel

  • Arrange flights, ground transportation, lodging, and meal reimbursements tailored to members' medical needs.

Authorization Management

  • Verify and document health plan travel authorizations, request and secure pre-approvals, and confirm details with medical facilities.

Member Support

  • Provide clear, compassionate communication about travel details, reimbursement processes, and authorizations; deliver timely documentation to both members and health plans.

Vendor Relations

  • Build and maintain positive partnerships with lodging, transportation, and meal service providers.

Data & Reporting

  • Track costs, monitor reimbursements, and maintain accurate, detailed records in alignment with compliance requirements.

Productivity & Quality

  • Meet departmental performance standards while maintaining exceptional service quality and member satisfaction.

Flexibility

  • Adapt to changes in travel schedules and unforeseen circumstances while ensuring members' needs remain the priority.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in travel coordination or similar logistics-based role.
  • 1+ year experience in a high-volume inbound call center or customer service environment.
  • Strong data entry skills; ability to manage high call volume and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Knowledge of cost tracking, budgeting, or service expense management.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 WPM.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Some college coursework or degree in hospitality, business, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid NEMT guidelines.
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
