Job description

We are looking for someone to join our dynamic reception and mail room team! This is a part-time in-office position at our Northampton, MA location.

We have a team of experts who care about the details and work continuously to ensure that we provide our customers with the best experience they’ve had with a payroll and HR provider.

Who we’re looking for:

Working as part of the Client Support Team, our reception and mail room assistants play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of our clients’ pay checks. You will be responsible for printing, sealing, and packaging paychecks, as well as assisting with general mailroom duties. There will occasionally be a need for this role to work in reception where you will be answering phones and transferring calls, assisting clients who pick up their paychecks, and aiding visitors in the building.

This position is scheduled to work 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday – Wednesday with additional hours and/or days needed during staff absences or peak times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate mail room equipment such as printers and sealing machines.
  • Package paychecks, and other confidential documents, accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and packages.
  • Answer phones while at the front desk.
  • Greet clients who enter the building.
  • Maintain all confidentiality and safety procedures and policies.
  • Communicate with the Client Support department regarding any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and use printing/sealing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team.
  • Experience working in a reception or mail room role is preferred.
