Join Us as an Evening Receptionist!

35 hours, Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 2:30PM - No Weekends!

The Receptionist at MiraVista Behavioral Health Center serves as a vital frontline representative and administrative support professional within a fast-paced, patient-centered mental health care environment. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, calm, and respectful atmosphere for patients, families, visitors, vendors, and staff while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, safety and professionalism.

Receptionist responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous, respectful, and trauma-informed manner
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Maintain a calm and supportive demeanor when interacting with patients in emotional distress. Acts as a resource for staff, families, and visitors.
  • Professional presentation in dress, appearance, and speech is required.
  • Maintain accurate patient logs in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
  • Manage incoming mail and distribute appropriately to the correct individuals
  • Maintain front desk supplies and keep reception area clean and organized
  • Maintain food logs and send to payroll in the scheduled timeframe required Safety and Compliance.
  • Follow hospital safety protocols, including visitor sign-in procedures.
  • Monitor the waiting area and report safety concerns or unusual behavior to clinical staff.
  • Coordinate transportation and eligibility (PT-1, Mass Health/MART/GATRA etc) between ride service and clinical staff to ensure timely and appropriate transportation for patients monitoring schedule and proactively addressing delays, missed pickups or service issues.

The Receptionist candidate will have the following:

  • High School Diploma required, associate's degree preferred
  • Previous receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience in a hospital setting
  • Bilingual skills, preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress or emotionally sensitive situations
  • Basic computer skills and experience with office software
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay Range

Compensation will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience.
