Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Mobility team in Orlando, FL. This hybrid role combines project management excellence with leadership responsibilities to guide and develop a high-performing transportation group. You will manage transportation projects of varying scales and funding sources while building a collaborative team environment that drives technical excellence and strategic growth. This is a unique opportunity to advance your public sector project management skills and leadership career simultaneously.
Role accountabilities:
  • Lead and deliver complex FDOT and municipal transportation programs-overseeing multidisciplinary teams across planning, design (urban, rural, interchanges), right-of-way, and public safety, from pursuit through final delivery.
  • Provide end-to-end project leadership including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and QA/QC, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and Arcadis standards.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing transportation team, driving a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development while overseeing recruitment and retention.
  • Drive strategic growth and operational performance through resource planning, workload forecasting, and identification of new market opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted client advisor, strengthening key relationships, resolving complex challenges, and leading business development initiatives including proposals and pursuits.
  • Collaborate across internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions and optimize project outcomes.
  • Represent Arcadis in industry and community forums, enhancing brand visibility and supporting continued market expansion through strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
  • Florida PE License
  • 15+ years of progressive highway or transportation engineering design and project management experience, preferably with State DOT or local municipalities.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex transportation projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active participation in regional/national transportation and engineering associations; proven success in business development and client relationship management.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $185,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
