Job description

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role will partner closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and employees to resolve payroll questions and maintain accurate payroll records.

Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and verify employee timekeeping, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and pay adjustments.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy of employee data.
  • Handle employee payroll questions and provide timely support.
  • Partner with HR and Benefits teams on payroll-related changes, including new hires, terminations, leave, and benefit deductions.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Support payroll system updates, process improvements, and special projects.
  • Work with payroll vendors and troubleshoot payroll-related issues as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Caselle or similar ERP experience.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
