Job description

Position: Oncologist (MD/DO)
Schedule: Part-Time | 3 days per week, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Oncologist to join our mission-driven team in a part-time role that supports worklife balance while delivering high-quality cancer care to our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain clinical skills in oncology and provide direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • Consult with other specialties when appropriate to support coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
  • Supervise and provide consultation to mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students.
  • Participate in departmental call schedule, medical education programs, staff meetings, and committees as assigned.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives related to clinical practice.
  • Complete medical records in a timely, accurate, and legible manner.
  • Utilize evidence-based medicine and efficient resource management in clinical decision-making.
  • Provide clear, appropriate education to patients and families regarding care plans.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current license to practice in the State of Iowa.
  • Board certification in Oncology within five years of residency/fellowship, or waiver approved by the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior oncology practice experience.
