Saturdays & Sundays | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Tallahassee OnlySpanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply

Big Bend Hospice is hiring a part-time Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean and sanitary healthcare environment.

This role supports our hospice house common rooms and inpatient unit rooms while helping ensure a safe space for patients, families, and staff.

Job Duties: 
  • Clean and disinfect offices, restrooms, and common areas
  • Clean inpatient unit rooms at managers discretion 
  • Follow healthcare cleaning and infection control guidelines
  • Restock supplies
  • Respond quickly to spills or urgent needs
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Experience in custodial, janitorial, or healthcare cleaning is helpful but not required. We will train the right person.

MUST HAVE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass a Level 2 background screening
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Basic phone skills (clocking in/out using an app)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Commitment to professionalism and respectful interaction with staff and visitors
