We're seeking a results-driven Account Executive in Denver, CO to drive revenue growth for analytical environmental laboratory services, including water, soil, air, and wastewater testing, environmental compliance, and laboratory analysis services.
In this role, you'll promote analytical testing solutions, including water, wastewater, soil, air, and waste analysis, while helping clients meet environmental compliance and regulatory requirements. You'll partner with environmental consultants, industrial facilities, municipalities, government agencies, and other commercial clients to understand their testing needs and deliver solutions that support their operational and compliance objectives.
The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience in environmental services, laboratory testing, or technical B2B sales who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is motivated by building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving business growth.
What You'll Do
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Develop new business and grow existing accounts for environmental laboratory testing services
  • Build relationships with environmental consultants, engineering firms, municipalities, industrial facilities, government agencies, and commercial clients
  • Identify client needs and recommend analytical testing solutions for water, wastewater, soil, air, waste, and other environmental samples
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements in collaboration with laboratory and operations teams
  • Coordinate with laboratory, project management, and client services teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Generate new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and follow-up on company-generated leads
  • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and sales activity records in Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Expand existing client relationships by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities
  • Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, and business development goals
  • Stay current on environmental regulations, industry trends, and market developments to identify new business opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within environmental laboratory services, environmental consulting, laboratory testing, or other technical B2B industries
  • Demonstrated success managing the full sales cycle, generating new business, closing opportunities, and achieving or exceeding sales goals in a quota-driven environment
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical services and solutions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and LinkedIn
  • Knowledge of environmental laboratory testing, including water, wastewater, soil, air, or waste analysis, environmental regulations, or compliance services strongly preferred

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time, hybrid position
  • Frequent in-territory travel within assigned territory (approximately 30-50%), with occasional overnight travel for client meetings, training, conferences, and other business-related needs
