Make a difference every day Apply today and help keep our community moving. We are seeking a Part-Time Dispatcher & Scheduler to work out of our Yorkville office, Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.


At Voluntary Action Center, we support seniors and individuals with disabilities in staying connected to essential services and their community. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our transportation services running smoothly, helping coordinate rides that make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.


What You’ll Do

  • Schedule and update daily transportation routes
  • Answer calls and assist clients and drivers
  • Share delays, changes, and updates
  • Use scheduling and mapping software
  • Help ensure safe, reliable, on-time service
  • Check vehicles due for maintenance and prepare service lists
  • Review and confirm rides at the end of the day

Physical Requirements


This role involves a mix of sitting, standing, and movement throughout the day, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to meet DOT medical requirements for public transit drivers.
