StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Director of Contracts in Fort Worth TX (Hybrid), to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s contract administration functions. The Director of Contracts will be responsible for end-to-end contract development, negotiation, administration, and compliance. This position serves as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on all contractual matters and ensures full compliance with the applicable government regulations, including the FAR and DFARS. The Director of Contracts will aid in developing strategies, performing complex analysis, reviewing terms and conditions, and proposing fact-based decisions to ensure company interests are protected. This individual will play a key role in supporting business operations, managing risk, and enabling compliant and efficient contract execution. In addition, the Director of Contracts will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following requirements:
Duties Include:
  • Lead the full lifecycle management of prime contracts from proposal preparation and negotiation to contract award, execution and closeout
  • Develop, negotiate, and administer T amp;M, Labor Hour, Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable/Award and Fixed Fee type Subcontracts, Non-disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements
  • Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company policies related to government contracting
  • Compile and maintain accurate, auditable contract data in the appropriate business system(s) (e.g. Deltek Costpoint)
  • Coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders through to the closeout process to ensure contractual obligations have been satisfied
  • Conduct requests for proposal reviews, contract related proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract and subcontract administration, including contract kick-offs, reporting, and close outs for IDIQs, Task Orders, and other Contracts
  • Performs contract risk assessments and advise leadership team on contractual rights, obligations and risk mitigation strategies
  • Analyze, interpret and resolve complex contractual issues
  • Track and manage contract and task order periods of performance
  • Maintain GSA schedules
  • Manage and implement contract and subcontract modifications
  • Provide guidance in developing and implementing company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate activity with various corporate departments, Accounting, IT, HR, Program Management
  • Prepare and provide training presentations for internal staff as required
  • Develop and maintain communications with government stakeholders including collecting and maintaining CPARS for prime contract programs
Experience Requirements:
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, work independently and proactively
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in government contract management or administration, preferably in DoD
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, government procurement processes, contract documents and legal specifications
  • Joint Venture, CTA, NDA, and Teaming Agreement management and negotiation expertise
  • Experience with SBA Mentor-Protégé Agreements
  • Previous experience working with contracting officers, contracting officer representatives, and contract specialists
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A background in finance, accounting, or business law is a plus
  • Experience in preparing cost proposals
  • Understanding of labor requirements associated with federal contracts e.g.: SCA, Davis-Bacon Act, and associated requirements
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • CPCM certification is preferred
