What are part-time Deltek jobs?

Part-time Deltek jobs are roles that involve working with Deltek software, such as timekeeping, project management, or accounting tools, on a part-time basis. These positions may be in areas like finance, project coordination, or IT support, and typically require knowledge of Deltek products. Part-time Deltek professionals often help organizations manage projects, budgets, and compliance efficiently, working fewer hours per week than full-time employees. These jobs are ideal for individuals seeking flexible work schedules while utilizing their expertise in Deltek systems.

What are some common challenges faced by part-time Deltek specialists, and how can they be addressed?

Part-time Deltek specialists often face challenges in staying up-to-date with project changes and maintaining effective communication with full-time team members due to limited hours. To address this, it's important to establish clear communication channels and regularly review project updates and documentation. Additionally, setting expectations with supervisors and leveraging Deltek's collaboration tools can help ensure part-time specialists remain aligned with project goals and deadlines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Part-Time Deltek Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part-Time Deltek Specialist, you need a solid understanding of project accounting, timekeeping, and financial processes, often backed by experience in finance or project management. Familiarity with Deltek software (such as Deltek Costpoint or Deltek Time & Expense) and general proficiency with Microsoft Office tools are typically required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication set candidates apart in this role. These skills ensure accurate data entry, efficient project tracking, and support compliance with company and client requirements.

Job description

About Us
Rapt is an award-winning design and strategy studio that helps leading brands navigate the complex challenges of this ever-changing world. With locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York — and with clients spanning the globe — we bring fresh thinking and a highly customized approach to each and every partnership. Our interdisciplinary teams blend architecture, interior design, brand experience, graphic design, and strategic thinking into holistic solutions that further our clients’ missions. Our agile approach earned us the distinction of being named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies.

We’re a studio built on connection. The best work happens shoulder-to-shoulder—pin-ups, workshops, model reviews—because ideas move faster in person. We work hybrid: three days together in the studio, with more as projects demand. We value flexibility, but this role isn’t remote; candidates must be local to one of our studios and available onsite regularly.

About the Role
At Rapt Studio, the Bookkeeper/AP Assistant supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the studio. This role focuses on core accounting functions, helping to ensure accuracy, organization, and consistency across financial processes.

You’ll work closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO to support accounts payable and financial tracking. This is a highly detail-oriented role, ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and interested in growing their accounting skillset and enjoys being a dependable part of a high-functioning team.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
  • Assist with accounts payable, including reviewing, processing, and tracking vendor invoices
  • Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation across projects and vendors
  • Assist with routine reconciliations and basic bookkeeping functions
  • Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting preparation
  • Review and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in maintaining and improving accounting processes and workflows
  • Respond to internal inquiries related to billing, expenses, and financial tracking
  • Support ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
  • 1–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably within a creative, architecture, or design environment
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable executing repeatable, process-driven tasks
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint preferred)

We do not use artificial intelligence or automated systems to screen or evaluate job applications. Every application is reviewed by a real member of our team. Because our process is fully human-led and we prioritize thoughtful review, response times may be slower than companies that rely on automation. We appreciate your patience and the care you put into applying.
