StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to join our corporate accounting team in Forth Worth, TX. The Billing Specialist will work directly with the accounting and finance departments to ensure timely and accurate billing. The Billing Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following requirements:
Essential Job Duties:
  • Responsible for creating, validating, and submitting complex invoices to customers per the terms and conditions of the contract
  • Ensure all billing is completed accurately and efficiently within billing cycles
  • Responsible for applying varying contractual billing guidance with coordination through contracts and program finance
  • Support internal and external audits as required
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Keep orderly records of invoices and support documents

Experience Requirements:
  • 3 years of accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks, while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Flexible individual and team player with willingness to adapt to changing environment

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements and reports
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS is a plus
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint accounting software is preferred
  • Federal Government contract accounting experience is strongly desired

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma, further education is a plus
