Position Overview:
The Good-Way Café is seeking a friendly, organized and customer focused, part- time (max 29 hours a week) skilled Culinary Assistant to join our dynamic team in our plant-based café. The Culinary Assistant is primarily responsible for culinary preparation, maintaining cleanliness and handling cashier transactions to ensure each customer has a positive experience at our café.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Kitchen Assistance: Help with food preparation, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assistance in preparing plates: Prepare dishes with care and precision, ensuring good presentation
  • Dishwashing: Cleaning dishes and cookware, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Cleaning at the end of shift: Participate in the cleaning of the kitchen and the restaurant room at the end of the service (cleaning of equipment, surfaces, waste management, etc.).
  • Cash Register: Greet customers professionally, take orders, and handle payments.
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare hot beverages (coffee, tea, etc.) and cold drinks (smoothies, juices, etc.) according to the Café - restaurant's recipes.
  • Maintaining a Clean Dining Area: Ensure that the dining room stays clean, pleasant, and welcoming (cleaning tables, floors, managing waste).
  • Stock Management: Assist with restocking products required for food and drink preparation.
