Job description

Scope of Role:

  • Primary: Produce 60 3-gallon ice cream tubs for Photo & Video Shoots
    • Make ice cream tubs following approved formulations/recipes, clean and maintainproduction lab and ice cream equipment, manage supplies and ingredients for ice cream production, packand ship tubs
  • Secondary - Potential to assist with support center sampling events & assist team members with miscellaneous projects as needed, if time allows

Experience/Key Competencies:

  • 1+ year experience working hands on in a food service environment, or possess general food service knowledge through equivalent training or education
  • Ability to follow a recipe using standard measurement practices and adhere to food safety standards

Hours Needed, Duration of Contract, Anticipated Start Date:

  • 180 Hours over an 8-Week duration, can be flexible with days per week worked, but would say a minimum of 2 days/week, maximum of 4 days/week as long as 180 hours are met over the 8-week period
  • Start Date - early to late June, depending on when lab renovations are complete (building out production lab area for this person to work in)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Frequent heavy lifting up to 30-50 lbs. Physical labor of food processing: pushing, pulling and lifting of food-handling materials.
  • Extended periods of standing to perform some jobs parts;stamina and good footwear required.
  • Temperature extremes: inventory management and shipping/receiving in walk-in refrigerators/freezers.
  • Allergies: Exposure to food allergens.
  • Chemicals: Use of cleaning chemicals for food sanitation.
