Integrated Musculoskeletal Care | Tallahassee, FL | 20-25 hrs/week

Are you an experienced medical biller or healthcare administrator looking for a flexible part-time role with meaningful patient impact? IMC is hiring a Medical Billing & Patient Care Coordinator to support both our revenue cycle operations and our patient care programs.

ABOUT IMC

Integrated Musculoskeletal Care (IMC) provides innovative musculoskeletal healthcare solutions for employers, health plans, and patients through telehealth, health coaching, digital health tools, and in-person clinical care.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle (~60%)

- Submit, process, and monitor medical insurance claims

- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage

- Follow up with insurance companies on claim status and reimbursements

- Manage accounts receivable and unpaid balances

- Support collections and insurance follow-up activity

- Identify billing and coding opportunities to optimize reimbursement

- Assist patients with billing questions and account inquiries

- Maintain HIPAA compliance and payer requirements

Patient Care Coordination (~40%)

- Serve as the primary contact for patients and health plan members

- Educate patients on benefits and guide them through telehealth and digital health programs

- Coordinate appointments for in-person and virtual care

- Review referrals, pre-certifications, and eligibility information

- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

- Generate reports using Microsoft Excel

- Collaborate with providers, employers, and health plans

REQUIREMENTS

- 2+ years experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, patient coordination, or healthcare customer service

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Medical billing and claims processing experience

- Insurance verification and prior authorization experience

- Revenue cycle management and accounts receivable experience

- EMR/EHR experience

- Familiarity with CPT codes, ICD-10, and medical terminology

- Experience in physical therapy, orthopedic, or outpatient healthcare settings
