Job description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a part time Clinical Pharmacist. Supervises the dispensing of all medication to provide the correct medication in the correct strength and dosage form to the correct patient in a safe and timely manner while being consistent with professional judgment, hospital policies and the laws governing the practice of pharmacy. Safeguards the patient by screening their drug regimen for allergies, drug interactions, proper drug and proper dosing and therapeutic duplication. Provides drug information to allied health professionals and the patient. Performs special assignments as directed by the Director of Pharmacy or other pharmacist supervisors.
EDUCATION:
Degree from approved College of Pharmacy. Should be registered or eligible for registration in this state. BLS preferred. Membership in professional associations is desirable.
EXPERIENCE:
Should possess thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of pharmacy. Hospital experience is desirable, but On-the-job training is provided since many tasks and methods are indigenous to hospital pharmacy.
SKILLS:
Should type accurately and with moderate speed. Basic computer skills. Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly appearance at all times. Able to work under stress and have a high level of personal and professional ethics and conduct.
