St. Bernadette Catholic School, a vibrant K-8 Catholic school in Lancaster, Ohio, is seeking a kindergarten aide for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individual who loves working with young children and is eager to support both academic and spiritual growth in the classroom.
Position Overview
The kindergarten aide will work closely with the classroom teacher to support daily instruction, assist students, and help create a positive, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
  • Work with small groups and individual students
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and daily routines
  • Help supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, and recess
  • Foster a safe, caring, and respectful classroom environment
  • Support students' academic, social, and spiritual development
Qualifications / Requirements
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to obtain an Educational Aide Permit
  • Experience working with young children preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Satisfactory BCI and FBI background checks
  • Completion of or willingness to complete VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training
  • Support the mission and values of Catholic education
