Part-time Reconciliations Specialist supporting a leading North American importer and distributor of Asian food and beverage products. Responsible for reconciling financial accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the integrity of financial data to support efficient accounting operations and reporting. Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting and be responsible for managing bank reconciliations and ensuring financial accuracy. You will work closely with international teams and be a crucial part of our accounting operations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records.
  • Analyze and investigate discrepancies between internal systems, banking records, and third-party data sources.
  • Research and resolve unreconciled transactions, aged items, and account variances.
  • Prepare and maintain reconciliation documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather supporting documentation and resolve reconciliation issues.
  • Monitor outstanding reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Develop and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliation reports and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and identify potential risks or compliance concerns.
  • Generate recurring reports and communicate reconciliation status to leadership.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
