Job description

 The Parks Seasonal Maintenance Worker assists with the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of public parks and recreation areas. This position supports full-time staff in maintaining park grounds, facilities, and equipment to ensure a clean, welcoming environment for the community. Work four ten (10) hour days per week and have a three day weekend every week.  Work 40 hours per week, spring, summer and fall.  

Essential Job Duties

  • Mow lawns, trim grass, and maintain landscaped areas
  • Pick up litter and empty trash and recycling receptacle
  • Assist with planting, mulching, pruning, and general landscaping
  • Clean and maintain park facilities such as restrooms, shelters, and playgrounds
  • Perform minor repairs on park equipment, benches, and signage
  • Set up and take down equipment for events and programs
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely
  • Follow all safety guidelines and departmental procedures
