Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime shift; subject to a varied work schedule and may be requested to work overtime and weekends for special programs.

Position Purpose

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Warehouse/Yard Worker to join Parks Building Solutions! The Warehouse/Yard Worker will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the yard, loading, and unloading materials, and assisting with various tasks as needed. Our clients expect their goods to arrive within a specific time frame, so you must be able to work independently and manage your time well. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unloads, receives, pulls, and loads deliveries of product to ensure proper quantities and quality of the product and proper documentation of the receipt.
  • Places product securely in appropriate warehouse locations to ensure that damage or misplacement does not occur.
  • Retrieves and loads product as directed on shipping documents to ensure proper quantities and item identification. Retrieves product and ensures effective product rotation.
  • Ensures proper safety and warehouse practices are followed and that Company assets are adequately protected and maintained. Performs daily maintenance checklist on forklifts.
  • Dumps junk dumpsters when full.
  • Operates forklifts with various attachments and other equipment in compliance with safe operating procedures.
  • Participates in product counting, relocation and assigned inventory processes.
  • Performs warehouse cleaning and equipment maintenance tasks, as assigned.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent warehouse operations.
  • Complies with Safety Programs to ensure protection of employees and property. This includes wearing personal protection equipment.
  • Performs additional tasks as may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

2 years of forklift & pallet jack experience.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.

Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the company.

Able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, work instructions and various business communication documents.

Able to complete mathematical calculations associated with truck load weights and quantities.

Must pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring.

Education, Qualifications, Licensing Requirements

Forklift Certification

Must have a valid Driver's License and maintain the license with an acceptable driving record.

Management Preference

High school diploma. GED, or equivalent


Working Conditions
Fast paced work environment with, in and around other forklifts, tractor trailers and other vehicles. Outdoor environment includes conditions of dust, noise, temperature variations, and rain/snow.


Physical requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat kneel, climb, and reach overhead. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must wear PPE including hardhat, safety shoes, ears, hands and eye protection.
