Parking Enforcement Officer


Location: Richmond, Virginia

Department: Parking Controls

Reports To: Parking Enforcement Supervisor

Employment Type: Part-Time


Position Summary:


We are seeking a responsible, observant, and customer-service-oriented Parking Enforcement Officerto ensure compliance with parking rules and regulations in designated areas. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in both indoor and outdoor environments. Available times include weekdays & weekends - morning, afternoon, or evening.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor on-street and off-street parking areas to enforce posted regulations
  • Issue citations for parking violations using handheld devices or ticketing systems
  • Document and photograph violations accurately for recordkeeping
  • Respond to parking-related inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
  • Report damaged signs, broken meters, or unsafe conditions to management
  • Work cooperatively with team members and other departments to support operations
  • Maintain a strong presence and represent the company positively in public


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience in customer service, security, or enforcement preferred
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
