Job description

Classified Posting

Security Officer, part-time- 10 month work year

Hours vary depending on location (days and evenings are possible).

Part-time positions receive paid personal and leave days and are eligible for membership in the NYS Retirement System.

Job Qualifications

Graduation from high school and 60 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited or NYS College with a major in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Police Science; or one-year experience as a security guard, military policeman or law enforcement.

Special Requirements:

Registration as a Security Guard by the NYS Division of Licensing Services and completion of an eight (8) hour training course pursuant to Article 7 and 7A General Business Law.

Must be comfortable using computers.
