Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Insurance/Personal Injury Defense, Products Liability, and Construction Litigation teams.

The Litigation Paralegal will assist with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and/or final dismissal. This position works closely with attorneys and other team members to manage case files, maintain deadlines, prepare and organize litigation materials, and support depositions, hearings, and trials. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, discovery summaries, correspondence and other litigation-related documents
  • Review and analyze case records, discovery materials, and client documents, including identifying potentially privileged materials
  • Prepare litigation status reports and case summaries
  • Manage case deadlines and maintain litigation dockets from case inception through trial and/or final dismissal
  • Coordinate depositions and assist with deposition preparation
  • Contact and interview fact witnesses and assist with case investigations
  • Obtain, organize, and review medical records and other case-related records
  • Assist with trial preparation and attend trials when necessary
  • Perform other substantive paralegal duties as needed to support the litigation team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-5 years of recent law firm experience performing substantive paralegal work, preferably in civil litigation defense
  • Working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Strong organizational and document management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines while working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
