We're looking for a Packaging Coordinator to join our team in Cary, NC. Summary
The Packaging Coordinator is responsible for ensuring packaging materials are available, accurate, and properly coordinated to support daily manufacturing operations.
This role oversees inventory management, production documentation, reporting, supplier coordination, and material planning activities while serving as a critical link between production teams, support departments, and external suppliers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
  • Coordinate packaging material requirements to support daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent production interruptions.
  • Review schedules and ensure packaging materials are available when needed.
  • Track shortages, variances, and inventory discrepancies and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, documentation, and planning tools.
  • Prepare and manage job jackets, material requests, waste tracking forms, and production-related documentation.
  • Support production teams by resolving packaging-related challenges and coordinating operational support activities.
  • Conduct inventory audits and investigate material discrepancies.
  • Track daily production activity and maintain reporting records.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and tracking tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Partner with Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, Warehouse, Client Services, Procurement, and suppliers to ensure material availability.
  • Communicate material shortages, delivery delays, and production risks proactively.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and waste reduction.
What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, packaging operations, inventory control, warehouse operations, materials coordination, supply chain support, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
