PM Evans Packaging Associate (Black Team)

Cary, North Carolina

Allegiance Staffing is hiring Packaging Associates in the Cary, NC area!! Job Summary: The Packaging Associate supports the packaging team in the production of high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while minimizing waste

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup of jobs and operational procedures as part of onboarding and training programs.
  • Review daily work schedule and prepare materials accordingly for production.
  • Perform hand collating, final assembly, and kit building on production lines as directed.
  • Ensure correct sequencing and quality of packaging projects.
  • Pack materials onto pallets, corrugated cartons, or carts following specifications.
  • Inspect products visually for quality defects and report issues to line leads.
  • Operate basic auxiliary equipment such as manual shrink wrappers, cartoners, and box cutters under supervision.
  • Stage jobs for upcoming production runs by loading materials onto production lines.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following established procedures and correcting hazards promptly.
  • Adhere to company policies, security protocols, standard operating procedures, and ISO requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the packaging unit.
  • Occasionally perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
  • Effective customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions.
  • Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
